The Year 2021

We changed a lot of our strategies this year and stopped giving out food hampers to adults unless absolutely necessary to the poorest which was done by much vetting, We are now working on high impact projects that will uplift the lives of many people in the slums and give them livelihood and human development.

The Hetal Mukuru School Feeding Project
In January 2021, we partnered with Mukuru Promotion Centre and Ruben Centre and started providing wholesome breakfast of Uji or Vegetable Soup and a varied lunch with balanced diet nutrition instead of just Maize and Beans to over 12000 children from Monday to Friday and some on Saturday also a total of 1.5 million meals were served to the Children of Mukuru Slum and others to children in Kosovo and Kwa Njenga Slum from 4th January to 15th April 2021. Most of the schools have blossomed with over 50 marks more per child which is a clear sign of good nutrition and better learning. We are pleased to be able to include wholesome green vegetables, high protein beans and a tastier meal with fresh vegetables, onions, tomatoes etc.

We also helped deworm 9000 children in the slums at the beginning of the year.

The Vikas Vocational Training Centre
The Vikas Vocational Training Centre in Githurai is now a permanent home for 40 ladies with Cerebral Palsy or disabled children who are now able to sustain themselves with tailoring jobs making fancy masks, school uniforms and aprons. We our avid campaigns we now have given 12 graduates who have cerebral palsy children their own sewing machines after graduation from the training centre so that they can work in small cohorts from home so that they can look after their children too.

Tourism Industry Initiative
We have been able to provide 1500 Hampers of food this year after the second 5 County lockdown to Safari Driver guides, reservations agents, restaurant waiters, cooks and kitchen staff who have been sent home on unpaid leave due to the lockdown. We have also organized blood donation drives where we have been able to collect almost 225 pints of blood from the guides for the various hospitals in Nairobi who are battling for blood due to the Covid crisis.

The Deep Mobile Physiotherapy Clinic for Cerebral Palsy Slum Children As of 2nd May we will run a 6 times a week free Physio clinic which will indeed help 300 children from the poverished families to access free physiotherapy for their disabled and challenged children. The First Camp will be inaugurated on Sunday at the Mukuru Promotion Center where will treat 50 children with extensive physiotherapy free of Charge

Last School Term Food Programme
We have doubled our food programme to accommodate 18000 people in various slum school in Mukuru, Kariobangi and Westlands Counties of Nairobi. This will enable children to get the right nourishment and nutrition to study better and become foremost citizens. We are also planning to give children a special TeamPankaj Uji Cup which will be collected by a reward system.

FUTURE PROJECTS ON OUR STRATEGIC PLAN

  1. Beehives for Rural Nairobi
We intend to put up 1000 bee hives in Rural Nairobi so that we can help the environment and help people get some income. This project will help almost 500 families get income and extra nutrition from delicious honey

  2. Jai Pure Water for the Slum Schools
We are working to progressively fit water bays at Nairobi Slum schools so that children can get fresh purified drinking water from Water Fountains and refill taps for their water bottles. We will also built washing bays for the children to be able to wash their plates and cups after use.

  3. The Super Kenyan
The Super Kenyan is a business initiative for Form 4 Leavers who have no further vocation training or high school funding available. We will train cohorts of small 20 people group into various fields for them to be able to start their own business or extreme training in Health and Technical fields so that we have a larger national nursing force.

  4. Nixsha Peace School for the Girl Child
The Nixsha Peace Home is a home for Abandoned and Orphaned Girls who will be looked after from their first day of school at the tender age of 4 years to the first day of work at the age of 22 years. This will become their permanent home where they will have everything and more just like a normal home and these girls will one day become leaders. We are trying to seek funding for this and we will have a residential home for around 50 girls and 20 staff who will guide and counsel them to become the best Kenyans in the field of their talents.

  5. Uhuru Kenyatta Centre for Human Development
It is my ultimate aim to build an historical centre for Human development as a legacy for our beloved President Uhuru Kenyatta. We require a 30 acre site in the city of Nairobi and this will become the worlds best multi use center. Education, Health, Art and Sports, Human Development and Business studies centre. This Centre will be one of the best centres in the history of our country and a role model for the rest of the world. Advance planning is currently underway and hopefully we will seek a land grant from the President for this Centre on Thika Super Highway so that it can be accessed by residents from Nairobi, Kiambu and Thika.

This Centre will be a star in the Cap of our country.

  6. 1 million trees for Kenya
Our aim from 2022 is 1 million trees for Kenya to be planted all over the country with indigenous trees to enhance our eco systems and save our water catchment forest. We are slowly and surely planning so much for our beautiful country Kenya. As the Leader of TeamPankaj it is my personal goal and vision to lift our 500000 people out of poverty in the city slums in the next 10 years and help, train and educate them to lift out another 2 million people out of poverty over the next 10 years

Please give us your blessings.
